TURF TOPICS. (By "Moturoa.") There is good jnonev in race riding for the top-notcher. The ex-Australian jockey, F. Bullock, has accepted a three years' engagement at £2OOO a y<kr and expenses to ride for the Imperial stable in Germany? The New Zealand horseman, H. Cairns, rode The* Harvester horse Tield Trial ,t6 victory in the Hurdle Race at the last V.R.C. meeting. He started at a long price. Cairns was also up on Island King when the latter 'brought oil a big surprise in the second Hurdle Race at the Bendigo meeting. It is probable that Polymorphous, Boanerges, Nyland and three others of the "Highden" team will be taken to Wancranui to work; as : 'the track at Awapuni has been in such bad condition recently from the heavy rain that trainer iGeorae Price has not been able to give the horses proper work.
