CRIPPEN AND LE NEVE

Crippen and Le Neve appeared at Bow Street Magistrate's Court again to-day, the latter being; charged with being an J accessory after the fact. Prosecuting counsel stated that Professor Pepper's examination of the "remains showed thiere had been an operation. Dr. Wilcox's examination of the organ® revealed the presence of large quantities of a poison called hyoxine. The lower part of the pyjamas whereof the jacket was buried with the remains was found in Crippen'e box. Witnesses proved that Crippen pawned jewellery the day after the victim disappeared. A GHASTLY COLLECTION. ORIPPEN'S CARE FOR LE NEVE. Received September 8, 12.20 a.m. London, September 7. The prosecution stated that Crippen purchased, five grains of hydro-bromide hyoscine on January 10, explaining that it was for homeopathy purposes. The relnains found-in the cellar included the heart, stomach, spleen, smaller intestines, liver, one kidney, a strand of bleached hair eight inches long with hairpins, a woman's combinations, and camisole. Crippen left a deposit of notes j amounting to £6OO sterling with an English friend early in July, instructing that it was to be given to Le Neve "if anything happens me." Mrs. Martinetti j identified the operation mark which Mrs. Crippen showed her prior to the flight. Crippen admitted that the story he told Inspector Dew of his wife's death was a lie!
