ORDERS FOR GERMANY
KRUPPS SECURE LARGE CONTRACTS ABROAD. Berlin, July 20. German enterprise in supplying foreign countries with weapons lias gained several notable commercial victories. Following the visit paid to various European countries by the Chinese Military Commission which is now en route to Pekin, it is announced that the Chinese Government will order a large quantity of artillery and machine guns from the Krupp works at Essen. Both the Turkish and the Servian Governments have placed large orders with Messrs Krupp," while the Argentine Government has ordered 200,000 Mauser rifles, and Brazil has ordered a like number from Loewe and Co., of Berlin. It is further stated that other South American countries intend purchasing fields guns and quantities of rifles from the same firm. The German arms and ammunition industry will benefit by the decision of the German Government to supply the Luer pistol to the army and marines.
