In answer to a query as to whether the Sports Ground Committee had paid the £25 rent which they had promised to pay, the secretary said that .he had received nothing, and Mr. Humphries, the chairman of the Sports Ground Committee, had told him the committee had no funds. There seemed no chance of netting the £25 just yet. ° Mr. G'ovett said that the committee had been giving bonuses away, and he thought they could reasonably be expected to pay their debts first. The Board discussed various schemes for raising funds, and it was decided to approach the Sports Ground Committee with a view of holding a function in the grounds.
