VALUABLE ALLOY DISCOVERED
| AS STRONG AS STEEL. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright Received September 4, 5.30 p.m. London, September 4. The Vickers-Maxim Company have discovered a valuable alloy called duralumin, which is as strong as steel and slightly heavier than aluminium. It can be rolled and forged, and will be manufactured on a large scale at Birmingham.
