First prize £3 and spe- ' cial, valued 10s 6d; 2nd, £1 10s and a whip; 3rd, £l. A special (pair of; spurs) will be given for best Id', '.Y iurrows, A special prize of 30s and trophy valued at 7s 6d will be given for the best turn-out in classes 2 and 3. Entries will be received by the Secretary up till 5 o'clock on SATURDAY, 3rd September, at the Borough Council Chambers, Waitara. 1. All teams to be ready to start at 10 o'clock a.m. 2. Each competitor in single-furrow classes to plough % acre; each competitor in double furrow class to plough % acre. 3. Double-furrow ploughs to gather i jrounds (or 16 furrows), to be the full fdepth (5 inches) on the third round. 4. Single furrows to gather a ridge of ■W) furrows, to be at the full depth (5 '.inches) on the fourth round. 5. The time allowed in each class will foe 5 hours, or each competitor to be -finished by 3 p.m. Anyone exceeding the time will be disqualified. 6. All competitors must finish with a •seed or clean up furrow. 7. Should the entries be less than three hi any one class, the judges will .award such prizes as they deem fit. 8.
