Great interest is being tfyken in the Bulb Show, which is to be held in St. Mary's Hall, this afternoon, and the affair promises to be, as always before, a great success. Besides seeing the flowers, there will be tempting things to buy, for there is both a fancy and a refreshment stall. It is hoped the attendance will ibe very large. A hit with everybody! is the Melbourne's great celebration sale. That's because the bargains are real, bright and big; Melbourne bargains are always worth while. Fresh .bargains will be brought forward daily to replace those sold. Keep posted on the big sale byreading newspapers. There is always "something doing" at the big corner store. ' Donations and applications for tickets are steadily coining to Hand for the North Taranaki Hunt annual ball, which is to be held this evening in the Theatre Royal. Acting on these indications the committee are sparing neither trouble nor expense to arrange for the comfort and pleasure of their patrons. , The North Taranaki Hunt have secured the services of Mrs. Woods with anorchestra of ten instruments, to" provide tlje music? for tho amr/ial ball in the Theatre Royal this evening. Added to their repertoire, are many new gems, which should go a long way to making the tball a, success, and those not dancing will derive much enjoyment from the music alone. Embroideries at the Busy Cash Drapery Store, opposite Oarnegie Library, King street, Nev flymouth. t.c. PLOUGHING MATCH. Intending competitors are reminded that entries for' the above close with the secretary, Mr. T. Buchanan, Waitara, at 5 p.m. on Saturday. It is anticipated there will be a f°.ir number of entriss, some already having come to hand. The paddock in wbieh the competition takes place is that of Mr. W. Birring, and is sifuated on the Main North road, just beyond the Borough Cemetery.
