NEW. PLYMOUTH. j Mails will close (subject to alteration) at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, as follows: For Wellington and South, also for Auckland and North, daily, per Mail T?rain, at 6.15 a.m. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1. For Australian States and South Africa, at 6.15 a.m. For United Kingdom and -Europe (due London October 10), also Ceylon, India, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, at 6.15 a.m. SATURDAY, .SEPTEMBER 3. For Australian States, via Auckland, at 6.15 a.m. (POST OFFICE RECEIVING BOXES, _ On and after September 1, the following alterations and! additions will be made in the clearances of the Post Office receiving boxes in the town. * All early morning clearances (except those at Chief Post Office) will be made at 5 o'clock. Additional clearances will be made at noon and 6 p.m. at the Devon and Gover street pillar-box. The afternoon clearance 'of the Devon and Broughanj streets box will be extended to 3.30 p.m..' Additional 2.30 clearances will be made at the Carringfcon Road Junction box, and at the Dawson street box (opposite Hospital gate). Additional receiving boxes are to be erected at the corner of Liardet and Devon streets, and at the corner of St. Aubyn and Weymouth streets. The Chiei Posit Office clearances remain unaltered.
Late fee letters for South may be posted in the mail van of outward expreue, and in the guard's vafi of other passenger trains up to time of departure. Late-fee letters for Auckland and North may be posted in the late-fee receiving box at the Chief Post Office up to 7.30 on Auckland mail nights, and in the latefee box at the railway station up to arrival of inward express.
