RIFLE SHOOTING.
A SPLENDID SHOOT. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright Sydney, August 30. Shooting at Wingham E. Rowling made 02 consecutive bulls-eyes ati 500 yards on a 20 inch target with a military service rifle. This is easily a record. TARIKE RIFLE CLUB. Considerable interest is being taken in the Morris tube competition in connection with the Defence Rifle Club (writes our correspondent). A good range has been made by the banks of- the stream in the centre of the township, on Mr. J. TlieAleson's property, and the first round was concluded on the 29th inst. There were 16 competitors, and the principal scores at the "2)00 and 000 yds ranges (five shots at each range) were: —
