(From Our Own Correspondents.) EGMONT VILLAGE. The creamery has now been running daily for some time past, and the milk supply is increasing rapidly. The grass is already coming away, and the cows (ire coming in, and all these things point to a particularly early and prosperous season. The inside of the creamery dwellinghouse is undergoing renovation. Two new ibnek chimneys are being put in, while the rooms are being papered or re-painted. Mr. Carter, the new manager, intends shifting in this week. The recent wretched weather has not failed to collect its toll of illnesses. Mr. A. Morton has been confined to his bed for some time, but is now, I am pleased to report, well on the road to recovery. Mr. Geo. Marsh is also very unwell at present. Mr. H. W. Baxter left by the mail train on Saturday morning, for a fortnight's holiday at Woodville. The fortnightly meeting of the Crib. Club was held on Tuesday evening, the prizes falling to Messrs. G. F. Dew-hirst (Ist) and D. Price (2nd). It has been decided t&' tffJve the final euchre party in connection with the hall on Wednesday next, and on September 14 to hold an all-night dance in aid of the hall funds. I understand that a g-iod price h:<s been received for the butte? till then, and the prices being offered this year for the season's output are very tempting, but no 'business has been done with the local company. Mr. Clothier, who has installed a Ridd milking machine this season, started operations last week. Mr. T. W. Raven and Mr. W. of thej Newall road, have also installed the machines this year, and they should shortly be in working order.
