The police declare that Brendon's and Trench's correspondence showed their intention to photograph all the fortifications on the North Sea coast. The prisoners deny espionage. RUSSIFYING FINLAND. Eeceived August 29, 10.30 p.m. St. Petersburg, August 29. The Russian Government has sanctioned a Bill to impose on Finland an annual contribution rising to £2,000,000 sterling, in lieu of service. The Russian Army contribution will cease when the Finns are required to serve.
