MINING.
ROSS GOLDFIELDS, LTD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. A meeting of shareholders of the Ross Goldfields, Ltd., was held to-day to consider the financial position of the com-' pany and to raise fresh capital either by debentures or 'by issuing ten thousand unissued shares as preference shares. Other business was the question of removing the offices and the election of four directors. The meeting decided to appoint Dr. Prendergast Knight, Messrs G. L. Freeman, J. Trent and W. L Nathan temporary directors. The offices of the company are to be removed from Hokitika to Wellington. The meeting adjourned for fourteen days to consider the financial position of the company and the proposal to go into voluntary liquidation.
