RECORD UJ MP WEIGHS 188LBS. By Telegraph.-Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. What is probably the larjgeßt piece of kauri gum yet brought to was unearthed by Mr. L. Carle a few days a<r o between Papakura and Ardtnore. The specimen, which was found some 14 feet below the surface of the ground, weighed 1881b*, and it irequired the strength of three men to haul it out of its resting place. Whea it was obtained it weighed weight, but on being cleaned and scraped its weight was reduced to that , St ltwas stated that the largest piece of .nun previously seen was a spwimen exhibited at the last Auckland Exhibition by Mr. Patterson, weighing 12ubi. _ ' " -a/ • M MWaSIO
