Championship of New Zealand.— Miss Gorrie beat Miss Wright 1 ; v up; Miss Ashwell beat Miss Hindmar&h 3up and 3to play; Miss Campbell beat - a Miss Pierce 3 up and 1 to play; Miss ' 'J Collins beat Miss Brandon 2 up; Misa ■ Humphreys beat Miss Wilson 1 up; ,i Miss Wray beat Miss Hamlin 3 up utd / 2 to play; Miss Bell beat 'Miss Ledger 2 up; Mrs. Borthwick beat Miss Abraham 2 up. . NGAMOXU CLUB. The final for the championship was played on Saturday afternoon between Mr. W. Bewley and Mr. H. C. Wright, and resulted in a win for the latter by 3 up and 1 to play. The first hole was won (by Wright with a six, the second by Bewley with a five, the thlra toy Wright with a five, the fourth by Bewley with a four, the fifth by Wright with a five, the sixth was halveu ih five, the seventh was won by Bewley .with a six, the eighth was Halved In four, the ninth was won by with a five, leaving Wright 1 up for the first round. The tenth was won by, Bewley in five, the eleventh was halved in three, the twelvth wa« halved in four, the thirteenth was won by Bewley in three, the fourteenth was won by Wright in six, the fifteenth was won by Wright in four, the sixteenth by Wright in eix, and the seventeenth by Wright in three, giving him the matchNext Saturday, the 27th inst., the St. Andrew's Cross copetition will be played for. The three following Saturdays will be taken up by the competition for the committee trophy, lor the aggregate of the score for the three Saturdays, viz., 18 holes each Saturday afternoon. This year there will be a trophy given for the' best nett score and the best gross score, no competitor being entitled to win both prizes.
