ALLEGED CARGO BROACHING.

SAILORS ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. James Hayter Barter (fourth officer), John William Mills (boatswain), Archibald Kerrich (A.8.) and Ernest Ouest (A.8.), all belonging 1 to the steamer Kia Ora, which arrived from London yesterday, were arrested last night as the outcome of alleged cargo broaching during the voyage out. Mills is accused of stealing a coil of rope valued at £4, and Kerrich and Guest with stealing cargo valued at about £lO, including watches, 'boots, brooches, and articles of jewellery. Barter is charged with receiving stolen goods. A man named Harrison was also arrested on a charge of being a stowaway.
