In the presence of King Alfonso of Spain, the battleship Orion was launched at Portsmouth. She is the biggest battleship afloat. Her speed is 21 knots, and she is armed with 21-inch torpedoes, with a range of 7000 yards' at 40 knots, and ten 13.5 guns. Till the 'Lion was recently launched, the Admiralty kept these guns a secret. It is not known if the four other battleships under construction are similar! v armed'.
