Mr. Norton Griffiths, M.P., who propoises to make a settlement of Wednesiniry people in Canada, has purchased 40,000 acres of prairie land. A BARQUE'S EXPERIENCES. London, August 18. The barque -Trio 'has arrived in the Tyne. She experienced terrific weather while rounding Cape Horn. Olsen, the first mate, and Larsen, the second mate, were swept overboard. 'EXPLORtkW 1 VESSEL WiRECKED. London, August 18. The Danish exploring vessel Alabama has ibeen wrecked on the coast of Eastern Greenland. Mikkelsen and his crew were rescued.
