The Paris-to-London flignt was Mois : aant's fifth ascent. His age is thirtyfive years, and he was born in Chicago. He wore a layer of Japanese paper over lis clothes, owing to the cold. Fileux, a mechanic, accompanied Moissant, who did not know the country, and throughout steered by compass and maps. He used a monoplane, with a Gnome motor. Tfee wind thrice caught the machine and threatened to capsize it, the monoplane being sucked down several hundred feet before it could be righted. Moissant continues the journey today, seeking to reach the Crystal Palace. LE BLANCS BIG FLIGHT. Paris, August 17. Le Blanc won. the Matin's prize of £4OOO for a circular flight through Paris, Troyes, Nancy, Charleville, Douai, Amiens, and back to Paris, with five Btops. 'His actual time in the air was twelve hours, and he covered 489 miles. A Jrage crowd gave him an ovation at Issy les Moulineaux when he alighted.
