Mr. Asquith's letter has given an impulse to the movement to commemorate the late King Edward. Liverpool proposes erecting ft £2500 memorial, including an equestrian 6tatue; pirmingliam rebuilds its children's hospital and erects a Belfast, Bradford, Norfolk, Shropshire, Warwick, Windsor, Lancaster, Chichester, Hastings and Salford propose an extension of hospitals; Aberdeen intends to erect a granite memorial; Ipswich a sanatorium, costing £20,000, whereof half will be Subscribed by the Michaelhouse School.
