Adelaide, August 13. The Golf Professionals' Stroke Championship of Australia was won by Souter, of New, iSouth Wales, whoso score for two rounds was 153.

'ln the Australian Open Championship there are thirty-fivo contestants. The first day's play resulted in Car-negie-Clark (New South Wales) leading with a score of 151; Felstead (Victoria), 155; Souter (New South Wal?s), 156; M. Scott (Victoria), l(i0; and others to 190.

NGAMOTU CLUB.

In the semi-final for the Golf Championship of the Club, W. Bewley beat J. Paton, 3 up and 2. The final' will be played on Saturday, the 20th insfc. ■ K. Matthews beat J. W. Haslam in the final for the Junior Scratch Competition by 3 up and 2. In the play-off for the tie for the last monthly St. Andrew's Cross competition, E. Hewley beat W. C. Weston.

On Thursday next, a team comprising six ladies and ten men will leave by the > 12.50 train to play at Inglewood. '
