THE CASE OF J," J. PA'ITERSON,

At tlie Supreme Court to-day the Law Society moved to have the name of John J. Patterson, of Dannevirke, removed from the roll of solicitors. Patterson had been adjudged bankrupt on his own petition and sentenced to two months' imprisonment for not keeping proper books. This morning's application was opposed, and ultimately Justice Chapman removed the motion to the Appeal Court.
