| TOWNS' WASHED AWAY. I • |By Came.—Press Association.—Copyrigmt Tokio, August 12. I Floods in Japan washed away towns and villages, and the railways are interrupted. Thirty thousand-houses in the 'lower part of Tokio are submerged. The loss is estimated at a million yen (£83,000). In many places the inhabitants are threatened with starvation.
