, The German Socialist Party has a membership of 722,830, of whom 90,000 have been recruited during the year, including 20,000 women; 43,000 meetingsl have been held, and 23,000,000 pamphlets distributed. The imprisonment of members during the year aggregated 37 years, and the fines £ISOO. Contributions to the party funds have sometimes reached £IO,OOO a month.
