(From our Special Correspondent). Stratford, Last Night. Mrs. W; Butcher, who is leaving Stratford to take up her residence at Te Kuiti, was entertained at a farewell tea yesterday by the members of S& Andrew's JLadies Guild. A presentation was made by the Guild to Mrs. Butcher, and the choir presented Miss L. Butcher with a handsome gold brooch* Mr. Wi S. Wakelin, otToluv.'wßn has been seriously ill in the Hospital, died last night. The engine belonging ia the Public Works Department ran offl the line; at iNJgatimaru yesterday, and it IfBI be a week before the damage ia repaired. It .will ibe a couple of days before the other engine, which is in the regain ehop, will be available. *

The remains of Mrs. Masters were interred this afternoon. A large number of residents gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased.
