There is a hue and cry throughout America at the escape of Yamagachis, a Japanese youth, suspected of murdering Enoch Kendall, the owner of a lonely cattle ranche in California, and Kendall's wife and' son. The ashes of the hones were found in the kitchen stove. The trail of the ashes revealed the charred remains of human skulls, jewellery and a bloody stone. Yamagachis' motive is thought to be revenge for the cruelty of young Kendall.
