EARTH SHOCKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Lust Night. Two strong shocks of earthquake lasting five seconds, closely following eaeh other, were felt at 2.15 p.m. to-day. Christchurch, Last Night. There was a sharp shock of earthquake at Hanmer at 2.12 p.m. to-day. A slight shock was felt in Christchurch about the same time. NEW POST OFFICE. Christchurch, Last Night. In connection with the musical examinations conducted in New Zealand by the Trinity College of Music, Lord Islington has signified his intention of continuing the presentation of the medal known in past years as the "Plunket Medal." In future the medal will 'be known as the "Governor's Medal," and will be competed for under conditions award of the Plunket Medal. WELLINGTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FUND. Wellington, Last Night.
