Hugh, Ward, comedian, has offered vo give £IOO and the whole proceeds of a„ special performance to the children?*: hospital fund on condition that £looo' is contributed by citizens in sums of £IOO and £6O. He also proposes to turn mext Saturday into a children's, hospital day, and believes that £ISOO can be raised in a week, which, with the Government subsidy, will give £3OOO to start the scheme proposed by the Mayoress.
