The monthly medal handicap for the ladies of the Ngamotu Club was played !on Tuesday afternoon. Following are

[ The Inglewood Golf Club sent in a p team of eight gentlemen yesterday to , try conclusions with the Ngamotu Club. . Saw lost to W. Bewley; G. Gudgeon lost to W. C. Weston; C. Biernacki lost to T. Southall; 1 H. iR. Billing lost to, A. O. Steeds; P. ' Brown lost to J. Paton; B. R. A. How--1 arth lost to D. K. Morrison; M. Howarth lost to Arnold C. Jones. , A return match will <p,ke place at Inglewood on Thursday, the l;8th inst. Members able to make the trip are requested to notify the Match Committee as early as possible. HAWERA v. NGAMOTU LADIES. Several ladies arrived by the mail train last evening from Hawera, and will play the ladies from Ngamotu Club to-day. The teams will bo as follows (Hawera being mentioned first in each instance): Mrs. McLean plays Miss Stephenson, Mrs. Bell plays Miss Brewster, Miss Hamilton plays Mrs. Paton, Miss Caplen plays Miss Read, Mrs. Kimbeli plays Mrs. Johns, Miss Glenn plays Mrs. i Gunson.
