RIFLE SHOOTING

I OKATO v. RAHOTU. 1 On Saturday last, in perfect weather, ;i the Okato Club met the Rahotu team at J Okato. The Rfihotu men shot splendidly, i) and at the conclusion of the match had i the substantial lead of 39 points. Ri fieri man E. Harrison, of Rahotu, secured top > place with the fine score of 61), out of a I possible 70. He was closely followed Iby his club-mates, Pentelow and, Shepjpard, who made 67 and 66 respectively. Rifleman Thomas headed the Okato list with 65. The yisiting team brought 15 men, but through several of the Okato Club not being able to attend, the home club mustered only 13 men. The difficulty was got over by Rifleman Tylee, of Rahotu, shooting for Okato, where he secured seventh place. The manking was excellent, and altogether a very enjoyable time was spent.
