Jenkins, was united in matrimony to Miss Vincent, daughter of Mrs. Vincent, Palmerston North.—Argus. The Rev. C. E. Porter, who has resigned from the ministry, bade farewell to his congregation in the Methodist Church, Masterton, on Sunday night. •The stewards passed a resolution placing an record "its great' appreciation of the fidelity and conspicuous ability with which Mr. Porter has carried out his ministerial duties in this circuit, and the loss of an able preacher and wise administrator which Methodism and the Masterton circuit have sustained through his retirement." i
