Yesterday morning the Rarawa brought, 130 tons of cargo from Onehunga, including 10 tons of manure, 20 tons of flour, 7 tons of sugar, and 550 cases of fruit. CASUALTIES IN NEW ZEALAND. The casualties to ships during the year ended March 31 on or near the coasts of New Zealand numbered 83, representing 47,857 tons register, as compared with 90, representing 55,239 tons register, in the previous year. The total wrecks within the Dominion were 11, of 4517 tons register, as compared with 16, of 6537 tons register, in the previous year. The number of lives lost was 18, all being within the Dominion, as compared with 119 within the Dominion the previdus year. Of the lives lost 15 were in the Duco and one each from the Cambusdoon, Flora and Huia. Forty Vessels were stranded and five foundered. There were 24 collisions, five fires, and seven vessels were damaged in other ways.
A paddle-steamer has been launched at Glasgow for the Huddart-Parker Co. She is to toe named the '•'Weerona," and has been designed to carry 2200 passengers in the excursion traffic inside Port Philip Heads.
