NEXT COLONIAL CONFERENCE
AT KING'S CORONATION. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received July 31, 5.5 p.m. London, July 31). A deputation of Commoners urged Mr. Asquith to invite delegations from the parliaments o.f the dominions at the Coronation to an Imperial conference. Mr. Asquith was unable to promise Government co-operation, and suggested ■the Lords and Commons entertain the visitors. A Blue Book, dealing with correspondence received since last Imperial Conference, shows that though Lord Crewe is pressing the various governments to propose business for discussion at the 1911. gathering, he had not received definite suggestions. The correspondence relates to topics discussed at last conference, upon some of which there ihas been divergence, notably on Mr. Lukin's criticisms regarding] ■the rearrangement of the Colonial Office in accordance with the conference's suggestions.
