STRATFORD DAY BY DAY.
' (From Our Own Correspondent.) It is reported that Mr. C. Diamond, until recently licensee of the Albion Hotel at Patea, has purchased Mrs. O'Neill's interest in the Stratford Club Hotel. ' Mr. J. Cameron, organising secretary of the Anti-Chinese League, is visiting Stratford, and will deliver an open-air address on Saturday. Mr. R. Dingle has disposed of his Brooks Road property to Mr. H. Campbell, of Hawke's Bay, who has leased it again to Mr. W. L. Carter, formerly of WanganuL A match has been arranged by the local golf dub with Inglewood, to be played on the local links ou August 11. Details of the insurances at the Toko fire show that Mr. Cluett's stock was insured for £4OO with the Royal Insurance Company, and the building was insured for £2OO with the same company. Mr. Cluett estimates' has loss at £2OO over and above the insurance. A meeting of the general committee of the A. and P. Association will be held on Saturday afternoon.
