The Council of the Colonial Institute unanimously decided to ask Mr. Asquith, prior to the Imperial Conference, to receive a deputation of Fellows of the Inititute, urging that it will enable the Conference to discuss the closer constituVonal union of the Empire and secure to |he oversea dominions a real and effective Aare in the privileges and responsibilities of the Empire.
