(From Our Own Correspondent.) I Mr. W. J. Rose, of Waihi, who lias; purchased a farm in the Waikato, can say he lias had a successful time as a farmer,. Mr. Newton King holds a sale of his cows on August 5. and in connection therewith it may interest intend ing purchasers to know that the herd' has an average test for the past twelve months of 4.075, and the factory returns show receipts for £247 Bs. or an average of £ll 5s per cow. It is wonderful how easy-going the ] public of Waitara are in many things.' For instance the telephone now at the] Post Office is in such a position that I anyone standing outside the office can hear all that goes on inside. There is absolutely no secrecy in the telephone i service. Surely this should not be? I
