SHEEP SHEARING DISPUTE.

EMPLOYERS' FLAT REFUSAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Oliristehnreh, Yesterday. When the dispute between the Shearers' Union and the Owners' Union with reference to shed hands m South, Canterbury came before the Concilia-' tion Council to-day, the employers flatly refused to discuss prices, conditions or anything, and said the matter would thave to go straight to the Arbitration Court. It has been decided that the Canterbury shearers' case, at present belore the Arbitration Court, be adjournen to enable the parties to go before the Conciliation Commissioner at Wellington in September. The Wellington dispute will be taken at the same time. Mr. Prvor states tihat arrangements for a Dominion award are incomplete, and that tihere is sure to be a difficulty to be overcome.
