The Nonconformist members of the House of Commons favor an amendment in the committee stage, omitting from' the Coronation declaration mention of the church, substituting the words: "Am a faithful Protestant, and will, accord- 1 incr to true intent," etc. The Brifc'sh Liberals resolved to support the second reading of the Bill, but strong opinion generally is expressed in favor of omitting the words: "As by law established in England."
