IMITATING TEE MOTHERLAND'S POLICY. By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright Received July 27 s 0.20 a.m. Ottawa, July 26. ■Sir Wilfrid Lauxier, at Langan, remarked that the tariff must gradually be reduced. He foreshadowed tlie appointment of a tariff commission, like that of 1897, adding that its aim would go as far as justifiable towards the Motherland's trade policy, though tlhey could not expect Canada to accomplish in one or two generations what it took Englland eight centuries to do.
