THE CORONATION OATH.
CARDINAL MORAN'S VIEWS. By Cable—Press Association.—Copyright ! Sydney, July 25. [ Cardinal.Moran, disci; sing the Coro- | nation Oath, intimated tLat the loyalty 'of Catholics to the Throne was independent of any oath the King was obliged to take. The declaration was not only offensive to Catholics, but implied a far-reaching insult to the Sovereign. It assumed him to be a possible liar, as it made him declare that he had not received the Pope's- dispensation to take the oath although he was a Catholic.
