. THE- AMATEUR STATUS. By Cable—Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, July 23. As the result of the voting by mail the Amateur Athletic Union's decision that a league footballer who was not remunerated had not broken his amateur status, was unanimously upheld. The second question, relating to the amalgamation of amateur bodies, was upheld, New Zealand dissenting, and Queensland jiot voting.
