Mr. Fisher states that he intends to speak in favor of the Coronation oath being amended on the lines of the committee's report recently presented to the House of Commons. Members of the Cabinet, however, will have a free hand.
SCOTS' OBJECTIONS. Received July 20, 10.30 p.m. London, July 20. Forty Scottish Commoners of both parties, after hearing a deputation from the Scottish Church and Knox Club, Edinburgh, unanimously resolved to urge the Government to reconsider the terms proposed for the accession declaration. < Several speakers declared that Scotland was thoroughly roused against altering the sense of the old declaration, however willing Scotland was to remove the offensive expression.
