Reedy proceels to Whangamomoira) to-morrow to take up the duties of manager of the branch which the Bank of Australasia has just opened in the township. Mr. Hunter accompanies Mr. (Reedy. Beattie, of Stratford, to be his brother-in-law, Mr. Ross Anderson. The Stratford Dairy Company are paying out £4809 5s for June millfc and final payment for the season. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Chamber of Commerce to have been held to-night has been postponed until Monday. At a meetfhg of creditors im tJie- asrtate of W. R. McKay it was decided to offer the bankrupt's interest in the estate of his grandfather by auction, with a reserve of £IOO. Mr. P. Hancock, who left for Ehgffind last week, has commissions from several local farmers to purchase Jersey cattle for them. It is also stated that MV. Hancock will make purchases on behalf of the {jovernment.
