CONSTRUCTION OF THE GANE MILKING MACHINE.
I In constructing this machine neither j care nor has been spared to 'make i#3if^|et^ :i particiilar a very superior ffiehirie, as it is realised that by merit d'lone will it win its way. , The -Teat Cups are the most important part-of & milking machine, and these have b&m -.constructed in as durable and simple l a manner as possible, comprising only fqiur pieces, while their action in gripping' the teats close, up against tlie udder (imitating the natural calf) leaves .very little to be desired. The inHations have been so designed as to avoid being abused .by stretching, and allowauee has 1 also been made for the natural swelling of therubber, a feature with other makes that lias, long been conspicuous 'by its absence. i The Pulsator.—This is a marvel of design, bfeing a perfect pneumatic machine I with only one plain flat valve, and a small leather piston to wear. The Claws.—These are of a much improved design in nickel-plated brass, and are fitted with a novel "Teat Cup Release" to facilitate the removal of the cups when the cows are finished. The Rubber Ware.—This is manufactured especially to order, as years of practical experience have determined the quality and sizes that give the best results. The Tat Cup Cases.—The caps and cases are made of nickel-plated brass, which can be easily straightened out, should one get damaged, without impairing its efficiency. As the caps are lirmly secured to the ease, there is 110 danger of them causing annoyance by hanging on to the teats or getting lost. The Vacuum Pump is a very substantial type, easy to drive and to keep in repair, with ample capacity to do its work well under varying conditions. Wherever possible special bronze tubes have been substituted for rubber, being much more durable and easier cleaned. All the bronze tubes that carry the milk (including the main vacuum tube), are manufactured and imported especially for this purpose, the inside being perfectly seamless and highly polished. All the claw and teat.cup nipples are so constructed as to prevent the rubber tubes from getting loose after being used a few times. There is no part of the whole machine that cannot be quickly got at with a brush and easily cleaned. Farmers are invited to secure pamphlets and all information from H. R. Jenkins, Eltham.
