MONTHLY MEETING. The Land Board held its usual monthly meeting yesterday. Present: Messrs. F. Simpson (Commissioner of Crown Lands), J. ITeslop, J. Rattenbury, J. McCluggage and Kennedy. EXPENDITURE OF THIRDS. 1 The following proposals for expenditure of thirds were received during the month: —Stratford County Council, £145 19s 9d; Patea do., £64 7s 2d; Clifton do. £364 Wis; Wairoa Road Board, £l4 Os 9d; Motoroa do., £3 18s 4d; Patea East do., £ll 4s 4d; Moa Road Board, £l2 15s 7d—The proposals were approved, provided the "ranger's report is favorable. > • ' NON-COMPLIANCE. Natzke, sec 6 blk 3, Malioe, nonresidence—No further action, as selector is now on the section. J. E. W. Henchman, sec 60 blk 4, Pari tutu, non-residence. —Three months' notice of intention to forfeit. R. A. Carter, sec 9 blk 15, Aria, nonresidence. —Six months' notice to be given to reside, or transfer to some eligible person who will reside. ° W. and E. S. Meredith, sees 1, and, 5 blk 2, Ohura, non-residence. Three months' extension granted.B. Prior, sec 5 blk 7, Malioe; deficient improvements.—To be notified his interest is liable to forfeiture. R. The Board reconsidered the question of forfeiture of improved farm sections, and it was resolved that the interest ai G. Parrott in sec 1 blk 7, Ma para, be forfeited absolutely, and the 'and reallotted; that the forfeiture of J. Moore. C. Sclion and F. Hainvright be rescinded. and that the forfeitures of C. F. Bcuianiiu and T. 11. Robinson be confirmed., if tliev are not now on the ground. GENERAL Thi- Commissioner submitted schedules of -eel ions in Opatu block, lleao S.D., recently surveyed bv Mr. Win. Laing The Commissioner was empowered to deal with the matter upon obtaining n report: from Mr. Tolnie. Crown Lands ranker. Mr. L. Doherty applied for a small piece of land in Makahn township on which to build a store. — Further particulars required. I). that the Board regrets it cannot see its way to make a recommendation in that direction. TI. Street was granted three months' extension in which to take up his permanent residence on sec 3 blk 16, Ohura, otherwise the land will be liable to for•1 feiture. : : e 11. T.
