Saturday. . *-< The laying of the reticulation pipes ii; in connection with the water supply is practically completed on the west side S c of the river, and a start was made on " al the east last Saturday. The work of laying the pipes has progressed most satisfactorily, and the e~id of the g month should see it almost completed. At the headworks there is not a great . deal to do outside the pipe laying, the construction of the settling tank being well forward, whilst the intake work is , well in hand.
