NEW iPLYMOrTH WOOD. HIDE, SKIN AND TALLOW SALE. L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S BEPORT. Wc submitted our usual four-weekly catalogue of hides, skins, etc., on July 6th to a representative attendance ol buyers. Competition was particularly strong for all medium weights, and these, despite that the Australian market is ■weaker and that Canadian, competition was absent, realised last month's rates. Other weights, particularly bad conditioned wet lots, declined y s d to Id per lb. Damaged hides were not wanted and showed a decline in prices in a marked manner, also did horse hides. Calfskins declined y 2 d to Id, we think on account of the absence of Canadian buyers. Skins sold well at an advance on last month's rates, particularly dry full-wooled skins.
