ENGNS MILK COOLER. ' As Taranaki is mostly given over to the production of milk, naturally most of the farmers attending the Hawera machines that were in any way connected with milk. And of these machines none attracted more attention and favor than Automatic yik Agitator and Cooler. The problem of milk cooling is one of the most serious the dairyman has to face. This not only on account of the enormous losses sustained by bad milk, but also by reason of the poor and low-priced butter and cheese made from milk delivered in an ill-condition to the factory. Much of this trouble may be attributed to the lack of good water supplies which have been necessary in the past to cool milk. Now, however, the difficulty has been overcome bv Eng's Milk Cooler, for it will work all night long, there being necessary only 30 gallons of water necessary to drive it as many as ten hours. The apparatus is ingenious, while being remarkably simple. Simply by means of the water a set of plungers—one in each nan—is kept automatically working and agitating the milk. And the same water may be used for one or more weeks. An appealing feature to dairymen is that the machine prevents the cream from risins. and thereby jives him hi* true test. Already the machine has been tried in the severest of tests during the -heat of last summer and has proved entirely satisfactory. Indeed, the directors of the Outri Dairy Factory (Waverlev) have gone so far as to urge on all their suppliers to establish the Eng Automatic. Also, the machine carries the good opinion of many dairy factory managers, who have publicly stated'their unqualified approval. .Tudsuig from its welcome acceptance by the farmers attenilinsr the show, the machine should sell well in Taranaki. The price is remarkably low, rnngins from £5 for a four stirrer plant to £7 10s for a fourteen stirrer. The sole agent is Mr. Gilbert Thompson, of Waverley*
