SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Nig'fit. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast is as follows:—The barometer has fallen everywhere, and especially in the far North.' The weather has continued unsettled aufi showery, but winds lave been variable and moderate. Present indications are for heavy rain and floods in the North Island and northern parts of the South Island. Rain Is probable, with unsettled weather everywhere. Strong easterly winds will probably prevail, hut stormy conditions may be expected to follow. The southerly gale due on Monday to commence in the South is now likely to come sooner, and •will spread over the whole country, with coldeT weather and snow on the higher levels.
