Captain Campbell, one of the Bth Argyle Regiment, won the bronze medal in the first stage of the King's Prize match, with 104 out of a possible 105. Halligan's score was 103. Received July 14, 10.10 p.m. London, July 14. Besides Halligan, eight Australians

are entitled to compete in the second stage of the King's Prize. Armstrong and Grant, with 101, Lloyd and Galliford 99, Palbean 98, and Cuttler, Williams and Burgoyne 07. and six New Zealanders, with'9B and 97, will also compete. Pye and Halligan won prizes in the Duke of Cambridge's competition.
