WORLD'S LOVELIEST GIRL.
Miss Malvina Longfellow, a grandniece of the poet, has won the first prize in the international beauty contest held in Munich, and a similar prize of 5000 francs offered by the Paris Figaro, for Miss Longfellow is by far the most photographed woman in the United States. She is sought by art photographers, her picture postcards have been sold to the number of 1,500,000, and her face adorns the covers of multitudes of first-class maigazines and newspapers. Photographers state that she "takes" the best photo of any woman in America to-uay. In addition, she is an artists' model ot fame. She has posed for practically all the distinguished artiste of the day, etc., includino- Gibson, 'Fisher, Chandler, Sir Farge, Sir Edwin Abbey, BJach.fjel.cl. Day and Church. As "The Enchantress,''' by ( the last-named, she is immortalised on the canvas which hangs in the Washington Art Gallery. She also commands high fees for posing as a fashion model for the great department stores.
She has an olive skin, black eyes and hair, and a figure that would win the heart of such an expert as Nish in "The Merry Widow." She has frequently been mistaken for Lina Cardieri, though she is taller and more solidly built. Miss Longfellow has now decided to utilise her beauty to more greater profit, and is shortly to appear on the stage in Bernstein's latest drama, "Baccarat."
